Guillaume Zuili has been documenting history through his black & white and double exposures since he was 21. Through his extensive travels, he has constructed portraits of Paris, Berlin and Moscow, revealing their intricate layers of time and history. Since he move to LA from Paris in 2002, Zuili has dedicated himself to exploring urban universes. For Urban Exposure, Zuili presents a personal installation, recreating the intimacy of the photographer’s environment and studio. He features a series of light boxes created from collages of cut negatives and one-of-a-kind chromoskedasic portraits of Los Angeles, illuminating a very different California dream.
