Francesca Oggiano is 35-years-old Italian journalist and photographer currently based in Rome. Graduated in Sociology at the University of Rome, La Sapienza. She started working as a journalist in italians newspapers: Il Tempo, Il Messaggero and Omniroma news agency. She studied photography at the Ettore Rolli’s school in Rome. In 2006 she became member of the Italian journalist association and started working as a freelance photojournalist being interested on South America and focusing her work on the charcoal and copper miners situation in Chile. Part of her work was published in “Diario”, an Italian magazine. In 2007 and 2008 she took part in two different workshops, both in Milan, the first one with Lorenzo Castore (Vu agency) and the second with Stefano De Luigi (VII). After a full time works in Italian news papers and news agencies she focus her independent work on documentary photography and reportage. Since 2009 she started working on her long time project focus on the recycle of the Olympics Villages in Europe and all over the World.
