Pictures from Mungiki raid in Nairobi
This is not uncommon practice for police in Afrika, who are as much scum as the ho-lice here. As far as what I’ve experienced, it would have been no different in Nigeria, though because Ghana seems less corrupt, something so reckless and ruthless might not be expected. It reminds us of contemporary Haiti, the favelas of Brazil, etc. I am aware that there are two sides to this story. Nonetheless, all over the world police do nothing but oppress our people. A bullet in the head for every corrupt Afrikan politician or other official that is breathing right now.
I think these pictures have been delinked from the NYTimes website where I found them, probably for being too provocative. These are dated June 7, 2007 and might be found in the slideshow at http://www.nytimes.com/slideshow/200…7_KENYA_1.html.
