Edinburgh Photographer & Reporter: Winners
We’re pleased to announce the winners of our Edinburgh Photographer and Reporter briefs. The four talented winners – two photographers and two arts journalists – will be winging their way to the Edinburgh Fringe this year to help cover IdeasTap’s festival presence…
Naomi O’Leary is a freelance journalist, theatre lover, IdeasTap contributor and, most importantly, an Edinburgh virgin – so she’ll be reporting back from Scotland with fresh new eyes.
Benjamin Aitkin is a Manchester-based student and playwright. “Currently toying with notions and scripts and drinking too much coffee”, apparently. He impressed the judges with his lively theatre-reviewing style – previously seen in Time Out.
Ambra Vernuccio is a freelance photographer who recently won the Hoppe Street Portraits competition at the National Portrait Gallery. Her portfolio is chock-full of drag queens – the surefire way to the IdeasTap judges’ hearts.
Artist and photographer Camilla Greenwell has previously photographed the National Youth Theatre’s S’warm and Philip Ridley’s Tender Napalm. We loved the movement and energy in her photos.

From 6 August, IdeasTap will be based at the Underbelly, Bristo Square from 11am–2pm Monday to Friday for two weeks, dishing out advice and tips on finding cash for your next big idea. Pop in for a chat.
