An Outsider in my own country.

Living so many years abroad has dramatically changed the perception of my own country: I feel like a foreigner to those familiar places.

Getting distance from what I always gave for granted like culture, faces and landscapes, made them become interesting again. They are now “EXOTIC” to me. They are familiar but distant at the same time.

The urge to capture these little details grows every time I come back home. I feel the need to document what has changed and what it is still the same. I feel the need to record these places before my memory will completely erase them.

I want to make them immortal.

That’s the Rome that “I know and I don’t know”at the same time.
